چکیده

1) Background: The aim of this study is to present the results experiments in which surface electromyography (sEMG) and thermal imaging were used assess muscle activation during gait verify hypothesis that there a relationship case low fatigue level between sEMG-measured activation, assessed frequency domain, factors calculated as minimum, maximum, kurtosis, mean, median, mode from area interest. 2) Methods: Comparison activity recorded sEMG data for rectus femoris (RF), biceps femoris, tibialis anterior, gastrocnemius medialis (GM) with obtained infrared vision. 3) Results: Data 14 healthy volunteers 10 min treadmill are presented analyzed. analysis revealed statistically significant linear correlations RF (five moderate relationships) GM (one good relationship) nonlinear all examined muscles. Also, detailed protocol precise, repeatable examination presented. 4) Conclusions: Estimated electromyographic parameters found fatigue, suggests method useful use complement sEMG.

Assessment of skeletal muscle fatigue in men with coronary artery disease using surface electromyography during isometric contraction of quadriceps muscles.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate whether using surface electromyography to assess skeletal muscle fatigue during an isometric exercise has the potential to be clinically useful in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). DESIGN Double sample comparative study. SETTING Cardiac rehabilitation service in France. PARTICIPANTS Sixteen men with documented CAD and 9 age-matched healthy men. INTERVENT...

Surface Electromyography of Masseter and Temporal Muscles with Use Percentage While Chewing on Candidates for Gastroplasty

Background: Surface electromyography identifies changes in the electrical potential of the muscles during each contraction. The percentage of use is a way to treat values enabling comparison between groups. Aim: To analyze the electrical activity and the percentage of use of masseter and temporal muscles during chewing in candidates for gastric bypass. Methods: It was used Surface Electromy...

Electromyography of extraocular muscles in Duane's syndrome.

The electromyographic (EMG) study of patients with Duane's retraction syndrome has shown that there is a gross abnormality of innervational pattern in this condition. Most commonly the lateral rectus is affected and shows an innervation differing from the normal in several respects. The first description of the EMG pattern in two patients came from Breinin (I957) when he reported little activit...

Surface Electromyography (semg)

Most practitioners would agree that the main cause of urinary incontinence after RP is sphincter or neurological damage or urethral shortening due to the surgery. The external striated sphincter is tubular and has broad attachments over the fascia of the prostate near the apex. Its innervations arise from the pudendal nerves and the autonomic nerves in the pelvic plexus. Urinary continence reco...
